Illinois 0 UCLA 0 3:30 EST
2011 is winding down and bowl season is heating up. We turn our attention to San Francisco for one of the final games of the 2011 year for “Rose Bowl North,” as UCLA takes on Illinois.
UCLA needed a waiver to get here as the Bruins finished 6-7. Despite having a 6-6 record, the Bruins “won” the Pac-12 South and played in the inaugural Pac-12 title game.
Illinois started 6-0—its best start in 60 years—before losing six straight.
As a result of some late-season struggles, both teams will be without their head coaches. Defensive coordinator Vic Koenning will be on the sidelines for the Illini, while offensive coordinator Mike Johnson will represent the blue and gold. It should be interesting to say the least.
Join us tomorrow one hour before kickoff time for live updates, highlights and analysis of the game. Until then, be sure to leave any comments or questions below.
Happy Holidays!
